Alecia
Meet Alecia – the heart behind Bay Buzz
Loyal volunteer at the Russell Island Fire Service, P&C Secretary and Volunteer, and - mum of 7 - Alecia can’t keep still.
Despite this, she was tired of having to keep abreast of all the events, activities, and businesses that operate across the islands.
Her vision? A fun, grassroots way for local businesses to connect with and support other locals. And a handy and convenient way to know what’s happening on the islands!
With Alecia at the helm, Bay Buzz is more than just advertising—it’s about keeping our island buzzing with connection, opportunity, and good old-fashioned local spirit.

Meet Angela – Bay Buzz’s creative spark
When Angela first moved to the island, she often found herself thinking, “Wow—I didn’t even know this was here!” That sense of discovery lit a fire in her, and when the chance came to join the Bay Buzz team, she jumped right in.
Angela is the creative brains behind the scene. She can be found drowning inside of Canva, fine-tuning the design details, and keeping all the back-end magic humming. She loves bringing local businesses to life on the page and making sure Bay Buzz is as eye-catching as it is effective.
With her fresh eyes, creative flair, and passion for shining a light on hidden gems, Angela is helping Bay Buzz turn “I never knew about this” into “I’ll never forget.”
